With a gripping book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey (13 Reasons Why) and a soaring contemporary rock score by Tom Kitt (Bring It On, If/Then), Next to Normal offers a raw and unflinching look at a family in crisis.

At its heart is Diana Goodman, a wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past. As Diana’s condition intensifies, her struggles ripple through the lives of her husband Dan, their daughter Natalie and her son Gabe, exposing deep fractures and long-buried trauma within their family.
