Environmental Policy

The Grand Theatre is committed to moving our operations, productions, and building into a sustainable future. Climate change is one of society’s most urgent issues. As the current stewards of this land, we will work to make a positive impact on reducing our footprint while simultaneously upholding our mission to be the place to gather where world class theatre thrives.
Our commitments:
- To create a multi-year Environmental Action Plan
- To embed steps toward environmental sustainability at every phase of planning, budgeting, executing, and reflecting on activities and daily practice of the company.
- To establish a benchmark of annual operations’ carbon footprint and to set tactics and year-on-year reduction goals and offset purchases to work toward achieving net zero by 2032.
- To work towards the standards of sustainability as set forward in the Theatre Green Book.
- To transparently report on our challenges and progress annually.
