Discover the art of turning your personal stories into powerful solo theatre! Hosted by the Grand Theatre, in collaboration with Western University and the London Public Library, this unique hands-on solo creation workshop brings together leading artistic, academic, and community partners. Join the Grand Theatre and Anna Chatterton, Western University and London Public Library’s 2025/2026 Writer-in-Residence, for a hands-on workshop designed to spark your imagination and help you craft the beginnings of your own one-person show.
Through playful writing prompts, image-based inspiration, and simple embodied exercises, you’ll unearth the stories that matter most to you and learn how to blend truth and fiction to create something uniquely your own.
Whether you’re an experienced writer or simply curious to try something new, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore, write, and begin shaping original work rooted in your voice, your experiences, and your creativity.
A half day workshop with this artists would typically be priced at $100/person. This free workshop is being subsidized by the Grand Theatre’s Community Outreach Program and Western University.
