# Open Call Audition Notice

 The Grand Theatre will be holding our FIRST EVER open call auditions for our 2027/28 season in London, ON.

## DATE, TIME &amp; LOCATION

**Grand Theatre, 471 Richmond St, London, ON, N6A 3E4**  
**Thursday, October 15**   
**12 p.m. – 8 p.m. EST**

The Grand Theatre operates on the traditional lands and territories of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Lunaapewak. We value the significant historical and contemporary contributions of local and regional First Nations, and all of the Original Peoples of Turtle Island (also known as North America), and acknowledge the traditional lands upon which we live, work and tell stories together.

## OUR PANEL

This year’s panel will consist of **Vanessa Spence**, Associate Producer &amp; Company Manager, and **Alexandra Rizkallah**, Apprentice Artistic Director. An accompanist will be present at the audition.

We are excited to reconnect with familiar artists and to welcome new faces as we continue to celebrate the talent, creativity, and diversity that make our artistic community so vibrant.

## YOUR AUDITION 

For the audition, **please prepare up to 5 minutes of material** that best expresses who you are as a performer. You are welcome to present multiple pieces, provided the total performance time does not exceed five minutes.

The following suggestions are intended as inspiration and are by no means exhaustive. We encourage you to be creative and choose material that highlights your unique strengths and artistry!

- Contrasting monologues
- A song that showcases your vocal range
- A short dance that showcases your range of movement
- Juggling
- Instrument playing
- Anything that allows you to shine!

**Please note:**  
**An accompanist will be provided. If you are choosing to sing, please bring sheet music in the correct key &amp; printed double sided.**  
**If you are dancing/moving with music/audio, please bring your own portable speaker.**

## YOUR SUBMISSION 

Please note that these Open Call Auditions are **unvetted and confirmed on a first come first serve basis**.

**Kindly DO NOT submit if you have auditioned for the Grand Theatre anytime after Fall 2024.**

The deadline for submissions is **Monday, October 5 at 10 a.m. EST**.

After submissions close, a link to book a 5-minute audition slot will be shared with everyone who submitted through the submission form. Slots will be available until they have all been claimed. **There is a maximum of 70 audition slots.**

**Please note:**

**Priority booking will be given to Equity members.**  
**Only artists who are invited to audition will be contacted to set up an audition time.**  
**Agents – please submit artists individually using the form link provided below.**  
**These auditions are NOT for youth (a youth is considered 18 years and younger).**
