Prom Queen: The Musical

Book by Kent Staines, Music by Colleen Dauncey, Lyrics by Akiva Romer-Segal, Produced by Mary Young Leckie - Based on the true life story of Marc Hall

The only theatre program of its kind in North America, The High School Project (HSP) began in 1998. High school students from London and area are mentored by professional artists and coaches in all departments, culminating in a production on the Grand's Spriet Stage.

The Grand Theatre invites all students who will be attending secondary school in the 2018-2019 school year from London and area to book an audition or backstage interview.

Performer Auditions: Evenings of May 14-16

Prepare one Broadway song (3 mins max.)

Backstage Interviews: May 30-June 1

Stage management, photography, wardrobe, props, scenic art, sound. Prepare a resume and example of past work.

Orchestra Auditions: June 14

Prepare a selection from the show (provided) and a song of their choice.

Start Dates:

Stage Management, Wardrobe, Scenic Art, Photography – July 30, 2018;
Performers – August 6, 2018
Props – August 7, 2018
Sound – September 9, 2018

Performances: September 18-30, 2018


You must read the script prior to your audition/interview. The script is available upon request.
Students who participate in Prom Queen: The Musical may be required to miss 6 afternoons and 3 mornings of school.

  1. Resume describing any performance experience and/or training you may have
  2. One photo (can be a selfie)
