# Gifts of Shares/Securities

 ## Make a Lasting (Tax Efficient) Impact

A gift of securities is one of the most tax-effective ways to support the Grand Theatre. Eligible securities include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, segregated funds, flow-through shares, and employee stock options. When you donate publicly traded securities, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value and receive a charitable tax receipt for the full market amount of your gift. Contact Monica Coddington, Director of Development, mcoddington \[at\] grandtheatre.com (mcoddington\[at\]grandtheatre\[dot\]com), 519-476-9126 x 252 to discuss.
