The adventure continues! Our PlayWrights Cabaret continues with opportunities for writers from London and region. Over the last five years, the work of more than 50 local writers has been showcased through the Cabaret. PlayWrights Cabaret presents staged readings of twenty 10-minute scripts chosen from a broad range of submissions over the course of two evenings in the McManus Studio Theatre. Playwrights will be taking their inspiration from a chosen theme, with the form of the submission and the interpretation left up to each writer.

The Cabaret also offers dramaturgical feedback and workshops for local writers, and this season we will also host a Saturday morning Coffee Chat for writers. The Grand Theatre is committed to developing and encouraging local writers through seed grants and commissions.
