WARDROBE APPRENTICE
The Grand Theatre

The Grand Theatre produces seven professional productions on its MainStage and presents/produces smaller shows in its studio space, the McManus Theatre.    The MainStage is an 839-seat proscenium theatre with a full fly system.    The McManus is a 150-seat studio theatre with a catwalk system. 

The Apprenticeship             
2012-2013 Season

The Apprenticeship will be an introduction to the workings of a large wardrobe in a regional theatre.

Under the supervision of the Head of Wardrobe, the Apprenticeship programme will include alterations, building accessories and costumes, dyeing materials, supporting fittings to support all MainStage and McManus productions.  The Apprentice may be given the opportunity to supervise small projects on occasion. 

The Candidate

The candidate will be a graduate of a theatre school programme or university equivalent and will have at least 1 year of professional work experience.  The successful candidate will be creative, curious and passionate about theatre and have the ability to work in a team environment. A portfolio demonstrating skill sets would be an asset.
