A Grand Success

On Thursday June 2, 2011 The Grand welcomed a sold-out crowd to the 37^th annual Grand Gala.  The theatre had been transformed for the guests who took their seats centre stage; this was the first time The Gala had ever hosted a sit down dinner on the stage.  It was an overwhelming success.  Guests loved the high-energy live auction with auctioneer Graham Crowe. 

With the help of our community partner, Libro Financial Group, over $50,000 was raised towards the Make a Difference appeal in less than 10 minutes!  

Make a Difference supports a number of programs including The High School Project, Holiday Wish for Kids and subsidized student pricing.  Involving youth in theatre is an important mandate of The Grand Theatre.

The evening was rounded off with dancing in the alley to classic Beatles tunes performed by Yuri Pool & THE MCCARTNEY YEARS.
