Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment in more than 120 countries including Canada. Soroptimist International of London is made up of a group of local energetic women working tirelessly on programs that help women to help themselves, by giving them the tools they need to live their dreams. Each year a  minimum $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a local woman for her education.

Each year, London Soroptimists identify issues and needs specific to our community. Our goal is to advance the status of women and girls and  to support local and international organizations who share that goal.

As a not-for-profit service organization, receiving no government funding, we rely totally on a small number of fundraising events, we organize each year, to provide financial resources for our selected community projects. To receive additional funds and create additional interest we prepare beautiful raffle baskets. We reach out to retailers and businesses in the community for donations. In exchange for their generosity we recognize the businesses on a display board at the event.
