Special Teacher Preview
At the time a school matinee booking is made, one complimentary ticket will be made available for the supervising teacher(s) to attend a preview performance prior to bringing their students to the theatre.
Tours and Workshops*
Student groups are invited to tour The Grand Theatre and learn about the behind-the-scenes magic of a professional theatre. Teachers can bring their classes on school group tours that are approximately 60 minutes in length. Due to the space constraints, full theatre tours will be limited to single classes (approximately 30 students) and are subject to time and availability.
Student workshops are available depending on space and the ability to secure the services of a theatre professional. Workshops can involve not only a history of the theatre, but also different aspects of the theatre including improvisation, directing, writing, props and lighting.
*Tours and Workshops are subject to time and availability.
To book a school group tour or workshop please contact The Grand Theatre’s Education Coordinator, Sarah Cholmondeley, at 519-672-9030 ext.280 or scholmondeley@grandtheatre.com.
